Made with Love

Samaritan Worldview Volunteer Spotlight

Donna

A few years ago, Donna had been going out on the street for outreach with a church class. She missed the opportunity and when she found out her daughter was connected with Samaritan Worldview, she decided to join. She had always loved making food for people so putting together sandwiches each week was right up her alley. Her favorite part of going out is getting to know people. She loves developing relationships and seeing people as Jesus does. Donna makes the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to complement the meat and cheese ones that Robin provides.

Robin

After 53 years as a nurse, Robin retired. She started looking for an opportunity where she could serve others as she had done in the nursing field for so long. She found Samaritan Worldview and the weekly Burien outreach through her church. Robin had always been more of a behind-the-scenes type and thought making sandwiches to hand out would be a good fit for her. Robin’s favorite part of going to outreach is seeing people get connected with one another. She also enjoys meeting other volunteers and serving alongside them.
